As a NBCU Field Tech at ANC Sports Enterprises LLC, your role is pivotal in overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of various projects within the company, particularly those related to sports venue technology and advertising installations. ANC is seeking a highly motivated onsite Field Technician to support the daily operation, maintenance, and reliability of guest-facing technology across a live NBCUniversal guest experience supported by ANC technology at 30 Rockefeller Plaza. Clear and timely communication ensures confidence in the stability of our technology ecosystem, the swift mitigation of any issues, and provides a smooth turnover to other technicians. The role serves as a part-time onsite technician responsible for operational readiness and incident response.

What you’ll do
Operational Readiness & System Monitoring
■ Perform daily opening quality control (QC) inspections and operational readiness checks of guest-facing technology systems.
■ Verify functionality of AV systems, digital signage, media players, and content delivery platforms prior to daily operations.
■ Monitor system health and proactively identify risks, degradation, or potential failures before they impact guests or operations.

Technical Support & Incident Resolution
■ Serve as the first-line technical support resource ANC-supported locations at 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
■ Troubleshoot hardware, software, content, networking, and AV-related issues affecting business operations or guest experiences.
■ Coordinate with ANC remote support teams, NBCUniversal Workplace Technology, and external vendors to resolve issues.
■ Proactively help to establish incident management and escalation procedures.
Preventative Maintenance & System Reliability
■ Execute scheduled preventative maintenance programs for ANC-managed technology systems such as system upgrades, technology refreshes, and software releases.
■ Track recurring issues and recommend corrective actions to improve long-term system reliability.
■ Organize, install, replace, and test LED hardware components and display system equipment.

Communication & Documentation
■ Provide real-time status updates regarding outages, maintenance activities, troubleshooting efforts, and resolution progress to non-technical stakeholders.
■ Maintain a professional, customer-focused presence while representing ANC onsite always prioritizing minimal guest impact and operational disruptions.
■ Document troubleshooting steps, issue resolutions, known problems, and preventative measures.
■ Support development and maintenance of SOPs, runbooks, and technical documentation.
■ Comfortable professionally communicating via email, chat messaging, face-to-face.

Technical Qualifications
■ Experience supporting AV systems, digital signage, display technologies, media players, or related technology environments.
■ Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, networking, and content delivery systems in operational environments where reliability and uptime are critical.
■ Ability to learn proprietary content management systems (CMS) and operational technology platforms.
■ Comfortable using iPadOS and iPad control interfaces to manage technology operations.
■ Ability to learn and operate Crestron-controlled user interfaces and kiosk applications used to trigger, monitor, and manage guest-facing content experiences.
■ Understanding of preventative maintenance practices and operational support processes.

Preferred Experience
■ 2 plus years of relevant experience preferred.
■ Experience supporting attractions, studios, museums, themed entertainment, broadcast, hospitality, or visitor experience environments.
■ Knowledge of digital signage platforms, AV systems, media servers, networking, or interactive technology solutions.
■ Experience working in customer-facing or operational support environments.
■ Familiarity with incident management and escalation procedures.
■ A demonstrated openness and ability to learn quickly and easily adapt to shifting priorities in high pressure, deadline-driven environments.
■ Physical stamina and comfortable working at higher elevations (ex. 40+ ft climbs).
■ Previous experience in a customer-facing or client-centric job is strongly preferred.
■ Flexible availability and willingness to travel regionally as needed.
■ Background in or knowledge of LED displays and/or audio-visual systems is a plus, but not required.
