The University of Montana has selected ANC to design and install a new center-hung display at the 7,000 plus seat Dahlberg Arena, home to the Montana Grizzlies and Lady Griz basketball teams.
The new center-hung will be the only one in the Big Sky Conference to have four 6mm LED video displays. The four main 6mm LED video displays measure 9.45’ high by 16.38’ wide and will include four 6mm LED video displays along the bottom of the display measuring 2.62’ high by 14.70’ wide. The displays will feature video, animations, sponsor content, promotions, and statistics to help engage fans, students, and alumni. ANC collaborated with the University on the design process, providing support beginning with the initial design, through the installation, and will manage and operate the new center-hung display.
ANC and the University of Montana have been partners since 2015 and installed a main end zone video display and LED fascia into Washington-Grizzly Stadium.
“ANC has become a great partner with the University of Montana, providing state-of-the-art video displays in Washington-Grizzly Stadium and now in Dahlberg Arena,
said Kent Haslam, Director of Athletics, University of Montana. “I am excited for this much-needed upgrade at Dahlberg Arena. I know it will be a great addition to our fan experience and dramatically improve the energy at our men’s and women’s basketball games.”
All of the displays will feature Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc.’s Diamond Vision System Division’s XL Series featuring Real Black® technology and will be controlled by ANC’s award-winning vSOFT™ control system.
“We are excited to expand our partnership with the University of Montana to bring industry leading technology to Dahlberg Arena,” said Dave Watroba, Vice President, Sales, ANC. “By incorporating Real Black® technology into the display, the new center-hung will showcase some of the sharpest visuals in college sports.”
