Over more than two decades of implementing digital experiences we’ve activated both the permanent and the mobile experience – from the design and installation of permanent, immersive spaces like Pier 17 in New York’s Seaport District or the Power Portal at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, to the rental of mobile and temporary media display screen technology and ongoing live event production for events like Lollapalooza and the New York City Marathon.
Further,by focusing on the spaces perhaps overlooked on the work plan there’s potential for a dose of unforgettable in unexpected places. Take, for instance, the Cleveland Cavaliers’ arena, Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. With the building undergoing a total transformation, the primary focus was on fan-first amenities like the seating bowl, concourses and premium amenities. ANC was brought in to energize fans from the moment they stepped into the building. Partnering with the architect and contractor teams, ANC helped to redesign the patron ingress/egress patterns to create a ‘power portal’ – an entire city block featuring a fully immersive curved LED tunnel utilizing Soundscape Technology that surrounds fans in Cavs hype from the moment they enter the building. Working as one unit, ANC,the Cavaliers, architects and general contractors redesigned the structural configuration of the tunnel, which was originally wider at one end, in order to allow for the creation of the desired immersive digital experience.
Another example of finding opportunity for something extraordinary is within the dramatic 3-story atrium of Pier 17 in New York City’s Seaport District. For The Howard Hughes Company, the goal was to attract New Yorkers and tourists alike through a unique shopping and entertainment environment. They brought in ANC to create a transformational experience that pays homage to the district’s history as New York City’s birthplace of innovation. In achieving the highest resolution in a fully integrated indoor/outdoor space, ANC designed, specified and built custom digital media components for the architects’ design of a60-foot tall, open-air atrium. The result is a multimedia extravaganza of continuously running LED content across three levels of the building. Custom no-bezel columns allow for an uninterrupted viewing experience as shoppers traverse between floors. With seamless technical design and integration, as well as ANC’s content synchronization service, each floor has become part of a continuous, engaging story.
