Gone is the overcrowded, unremarkable experience of the past – today’s environment is bright, welcoming, spacious and thoroughly innovative. Partnering with Empire State Development Corporation, ANC’s role as lead integrator in the multi-year project was to again create a dynamic digital media network aimed at improving passenger connectivity and comfort.

Launching with more than 1,700 square feet of 4mm LED, the first expansion includes unique trapezoid-shaped displays and ceiling box screens alongside glass lighting fins that simulate open sky. The recently unveiled main concourse added more than 140 LCD Passenger Information display, custom 1.5mm fine-pitch LED displays built to withstand harsh transit environmental factors, and is capped by four huge stunning 4mm displays overlooking the main hall. The station drives live video and real-time transit updates through ANC’s content management system, LiveSync, seamlessly combining information from three different transit providers, the Metropolitan Transit Authority, Long Island Rail Road and Amtrak, so that travelers can remain informed and on time.
